Jaime, a mechanical engineering graduate, has been in the diving business in Mactan Island for many years, operating dive shops in various forms to what is now Jaime’s Dive Center in Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City.
Originally from Surigao City, he was lured to this diving Mecca of Mactan Island, diving since 1992. He is a NAUI OW instructor having obtained his instructor card in 1995. The discovery of Pawod Underwater Cave piqued his interest in cave diving.
Indeed, he was certified just recently under the FCD Cave Certification course at Pawod under the tutelage of Doc Amores.
He considers his dive in Enchanted River Underwater Cave in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur during the Enchanted River Expedition V as his best cave dive ever.
